Jasen Themeny's Midnight Society lays down two superb sides of raw, locked in and deep jazz-funk. With very meaningful keys, tough drums, heavier than heavy grooves and a defined Roy Ayers influence running through both cuts. The kind of 45 that sounds instantly familiar but somehow remained buried for years, with original copies now exceptionally hard to find.
An essential funk 45 piece, reissued on a strictly limited pressing run of just 500 copies that will not be repressed.
