« A Thousand Months LP" is the title of talented beatsmith Kayo's new album. 2 years after the release of "The Revolution Was Not Televised", the French beatmaker is back with a more personal and intimate album, a journey into his own memories.
Featuring Phat Kat, Miles Bonny, The 49ers, Awon, Marina P, Géabé, DJ Q (LLT), Christophe Rieger (FEP), Paul Barbieri (FEP), Sebastien Valle, DJ Saligo , Widsid and DJ Mad Pressure.
Beatmaker for over 10 years, Kayo has developed an authentic identity in which drums and bass reign supreme. His influences range from Hip-Hop (Kev Brown, Jay Dee, Pete Rock, Primo ...) through to Soul (Minnie Ripperton, Isaac Hayes, Roy Ayers ...) and, of course, include Jazz (Kenny Burrel, Wes Montgomery, Stan Getz ...) and Funk Jazz (The Crusadors, Mandrill ...). In 2013 he distinguished himself with an L.P. tribute to Gil Scott-Heron.
