Dr Love is a veteran and key tastemaker / vinyl junkie on the Montreal scene and Laura Ingalls is a wandering French person of no specific sex who has recently landed in the French Canadian city and they both bonded over their love of anything Disco and Poutine, the main local dish which consists of potato, cheese, gravy and maybe sometimes added meat!
Dr Love likes to dig but doesn't really produce while Laura Ingalls is not the most efficient digger and only seems to unearth old Folk and obscure Arabic music for their personal collection but has serious production skills.

AA1 - Laura Ingalls & Dr Love - Ecoute Mon Coeur 5m 38s Peter Godwin who wrote this was in the band Metro and then went on to write and produce a lot of 80's new wave in France and across Europe, the original is definitely a guilty pleasure, both Dr Love and Laura Ingalls are closet Italo fans and even though this is from Belgium it bares all the cheesy Italo stigmata: big synths, big drums, english vocals with a bad accent!
AA2 - Laura Ingalls & Dr Love - Soul Ma Coco 5m 48s This is a cover of Manu Dibango's Soul Makossa obviously, this version kept the melody and changed the lyrics slightly, Bayete is a South African band but the album was only released in Canada and Belgium.
