Echovolt's lost and found 10th release is finally out! A beautiful mosaic of six tracks produced by new and old friends hailing from six different parts of the world.From the no-reason unreleased Terekke's "Sun Salutation" remix, the new Greek producer but old friend of us under the (for the time being) name "Old Man Talkin'", the first hip hop jam ever released on the label by West Coast's "Tlim Shug" to the mysterious one-off alias of Sydney's "Indreamz". However, this compilation could never be more complete without our new loves that are Australia's Hugo Gerani (aka John Tanner) and Shea from overseas both of them to be seen in future solo releases!

Space Time & Beyond: Selected Works 1986-2016

Into the Light brings out a splendid assemblage of 17 tracks of mostly previously unheard material by Athens based composer Akis Daoutis (Akis) most of them recorded in his hometown and in USA where he was studying in the mid-eighties.This time the release spans even wider both in period of time and style. 'Christmas' being the earliest recording (1986) and the closing track 'My Haunting Sins' the most recent (2016). Apart from including again two pieces from his elusive 'Into the Light' album - originally released in 91 - the 'Space, Time and Beyond' includes some really special features. That would be three tracks from his ultra rare 'Akis Love' cassette tape that was released privately and only in 100 limited copies. Moreover you can find two extracts from his long take called 'New Age Rising' that the original recording lasts almost 40 minutes in one take!This collection is making an effort to capture the works of Akis in a period of almost three decades. The variation of the compositions' style is even more impressive. From hypnotic ambience to more dark and unwordly exploration using Xenakis' UPIC musical tool and from his late 90s/early 00s contributions on soundtracks back to more new age lift music.

Debut ep by this Russian based newcomer under the alias LOW TAPE.The A-side features two club oriented jams with crusty snares, Mr Fingers-ish dreamy chords and some genuinely crunching acid squelches. O.Xander is back on Nous for another jaunt into textured techno rhythms all sewn together with a cheeky side eye on diverting off the obvious path and sustaining a reticence for anything too formal .EP opener 'Snowspeeder Blues' is a glacial skitter around pitch perfect retro-techno territories, while 'Thru Our Veins' harnesses the eternal power of acid and 'A Perfect Balance' takes a wry slo-mo lens to the synth-core sound.Over on side B we are back in the acid zone for 'Full Spectrum', if a more mournful and disquieting rendition of that genre, with the Juniper's Dub version squirming through a gauzy terra firma of dim lit Detroit design.

For their first release of 2016 Nous Disques takes up where they last left off with another impeccably crafted release, courtesy of the L.A. based producer Dreams, who serves up 5 tracks of gritty goodness on his ‘Off the Grid’ EP. The project kicks off with ‘Chain’, a hissy, analogue, Detroit-scented monster before moving seamlessly into the more stripped down and minimal ‘Voyeur’; closing out side one ‘Red Veil’ glides in mellifluously, immediately reminiscent of Stacey Pullen's trailblazing forays into that space between house and techno. Over on the flip the title track leads with a jubilantly squelchy tribute to Chicago before the fittingly titled 'Night Cap' closes out the EP with a woozy, slo-mo skitter through eerily sparse electronica.

BACK IN STOCK !!!A rough, rugged and raw set of Boyd Jarvis productions finally receive their first official airing on Echovolt. Legendary Colonel Abrams's vocal lines power through Yamaha CS-15 workouts with sprinkles of dub atop bounding drum-box workouts. This fourth release in Echovolt growing re-issue catalog includes the bass heavy, passionate thumper "You Got Me Running", the much feted first draft of "Release the Tension", which only ever saw press as an alternate production - with different vocals - by a band named Circuit. And the previously unreleased, Peach Boys-esque, downtempo, surreal soul jam Celebrate as the cherry on top! All tracks written by Boyd in Timmy Regisfords bedroom studio and recorded straight to cassette tape in the mid eighties.
