The good folk at KAT Records deliver release no. 28 in the shape of a 4 tracker of tasty audio goodness covering Disco, Boogie, House and a rather splendid leftfield number that defies any form of categorisation! HLB (Henri le Blanc) is the man behind these and deffo one to keep close tabs on!The A side covers of the Disco / House element nicely with Thunder and straight up Boogie with Love's Comin'. Not direct edits, but reversions with elements added to spice up and delight.The flip is a hammond lead beauty with 2 tracks that lean slightly left of centre. Country Churches is a low slung Deep House chugger that really does tease all the way and we finish things off with the ace Touch My Soul… Elements of Broken Beat, Soul and Funk with a top vocal hook to set it off.

OUER strike back with their third EP. After the debut release "A" on their own imprint back in 2015 and "The First Detour" EP on Detroit Swindle's own Heist Recordings, they follow up with "B" on their self-titled label. The two Berlin based boys are following their approach to combine classic Detroit and Chicago influenced Techno and House sounds in playful jam sessions with a limited set-up to create something very own. The result is a 3 track EP, ranging from straight forward 909 beats, over playful basslines to lush synthie solos, which make you want to move your feet.

This year we have reached our long term goal as a label which was to expand our releases into the wax department. We feel like we've done a good job bringing upcoming and original local talent to the surface so far and it is only fitting that our first vinyl release is done by the Icelandic duo David & Hjalti.The duo has been busy with the production since their arrival from Manchester and have played a number of great live sets underlining their skills as producers. We feel that this release is the high standard we set ourselves before going vinyl and that this is just a small first step in a fruitful beginning for the producers David & Hjalti.
