Transmitting from New York (via Toronto), Jex aka Jex Opolis has so far been known as the man behind and in front of the Good Timin' label. Infamous for its "boogie burner bombs" - to quote Discogs member Kutter_Karlo - Jex, trades his label for Running Back and a shifts the gear. Up with the tempo and down with the lights, there still is a variety of styles. "Studio E" is named after an after hours spot in Edmonton that the record's author partied at in the early 2000s - also sounds like something Ivan Smagghe would have enjoyed at that point in time. "Laxmi Tool" is referencing classic tribal house and a street in Pune, where Jex wife's grandma bought the drum used in this track. On the flip, "Harpa" brags and boasts with its trampoline bass line, while "La Casa" surfs some timpani waves.
