Following the release of his limited-edition "Boomerang" EP and his cassette-only album "Special Request," Diamond Ortiz brings you his first full-length LP, "Loveline." His heavy, bounce-laden style carries the album from start to finish, cementing him as California's heir apparent to the gutter synth funk sound which originated from Ohio and found an adopted home out west, where it fit perfectly with the cultures of lowriding and popping/locking. Diamond Ortiz proves on "Loveline," as he has with all of his past efforts, that the sound he is a proponent of is not simply "retro" or "old school" - it has a place in the modern day pantheon of electronic music.

Heavily influenced by West Coast hip-hop artists in his youth, Lowmac draws upon the G-Funk sound in his dynamic boogie and modern funk music. On his first-ever vinyl release, Lowmac offers two slices of future funk goodness on this bangin’ ABC 45! “Ride Wit It” is a party starting banger with an infectious lead, driving handclaps, and an array of synths that weave in and out of the track’s steady groove.

The Pendletons is a long-standing boogie-funk and modern soul project of E da Boss (of the Stones Throw group "Myron & E") and Trailer Limon.The group emerged with their very first release in 2010, a 7" inch of "Coming Down/Waiting On You" with additional synth work by E.Live, on the Slept On record labe.In 2013, they followed up with another 7" featuring K-Maxx, Jacqueline Mari and Songbird Remos and later a very limited flexi-disc release title "Winning Ova You". Now in 2016, they return to the fold in full form with burgeoning live performances backed by a large group of vocal and instrumental guests, and their new release, the "Gotta Get Out" EP, on Voltaire Records.

His fabulous Spanish guitar playing features on "Only The Silent Survive".Andy Wood Mitchell (The AM Band, Andy & The BigFunk, Andy & the Other One) the organizer of this musical menagerie revises his past role from Big Funk Factory's first epic "D-roid Portrait of a Serial Singer" as D-roid's nemesis Dweeb Droid in addition to the newly created character of obnoxiousness AWM.Slightly darker in tone the concept of the album sees the land of D-roid and Dweeb, Middle England plunged into civil chaos that develops into a full blown civil war and yet more discoveries about these creatures origins and for the first time some of the lyrics actually feature direct references to what's actually going on in the plot.The Music begins with a more electro funk vibe than the previous release but the introduction of live instrumentation later on brings the sound right back to the Funk base that was established in the first album "Factory Sample".
