This year marks the 20th anniversary of ‘Dirty Old Hip Hop’, so we celebrate with a repress of what is now considered a stone cold classic. Originally released in 2006 this Worldwide Awards nominated album is a masterful collection of tunes from 4hero’s Marc Mac. With musicians Somatik and Luke Parkhouse on board and rappers Voice and Capital A, Marc has re-imagined Hip-Hop breaks and beats and placed them into grooves that pay homage to the tunes from which those beats were originally sampled. A very post-modern approach has resulted in an album of timeless music which transcends eras and has the ability to sound as fresh as it does familiar. Moreover it works. Bob HillRemasted & Pressed on heavy weight double 12" vinyl.

Marc Mac's Visioneers project returns after a long anticipated wait with a summary of everything we've loved about the project and more. The classic Hip Hop joints reimagined, BBOY bombs and the super-fly Jazz n' funky lounge originals have all become Visioneers trademarks. The record has you sitting back chilling and head nodding for one song and wanting to jump up and bust a move on another. The addition of guest musicians from all parts of the globe brings another dimension to the grooves and compositions. A very dope welcomed return for the Visioneers.

Dance Till U Can't

a propos:

This is a big one, the first official new music from LOGG since their monster classic album release in 1981. Marc Mac on remix duties bringing back some of that super Disco-Boogie flavour on the main mix, and a nu school boogie flex on the flip. Also included is the fantastic original version by Leroy Burgess and LOGG. All previously unreleased tracks.Only 500 limited edition vinyl copies available.

Another must have part of Marc Mac's "Beats n knowledge" series of mixtape style albums.A Documentary on Wax. Looking back (and forward), reflecting on the movement / organisation known as "The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. Often the term "Self-Defense" is left out of discussion and far too often knowledge of the social programs developed by the Panthers gets push aside to continue a narrative of a violent group of anti-society revolutionaries. Revolutionary yes, anti-society no. All Power To The People.Produced by Marc Mac and pretty much all straight out of his MPC2500 (sampling sequencer), the 'college mixtape' style with sound bites from the era mixed with 90s style hip hop beats is now a trademark of this series. Limited to 300 copies worldwide. don't sleep.
