Then after it was remixed again on RCA label with different production.But by far this original LA/VEG (Las Vegas-recording studio location) version, is the heaviest and hardest hitting version of the 3 ... Previous auction prices for the original have soared passed $1000 dollars easily ...For the love of the music and keeping the funk alive, City Of Dreams Records & Tapes has made it affordable and attainable for the people on 12-inch vinyl record, with a special never ever heard mid 80's Modern-Funk / Modern-Soul release on the flip side. The track " ANTICIPATION " was brought back to life by " DISCO " Johnny Williams, who is also featured on the chorus, and blessed by Larry Smith's magic touch on the synthesizer keyboards and drum machine. Both sides represents the true funk sound of the early and mid 1980's.

Madcliff recorded this, their only album in 1977. Singer, Songwriter, Drummer, Bassist and Keyboardist Chris Hills wrote all of the songs, two of them with Chico Waters with whom he had co written with on Herbie Mann's Embryo label in 1971.The album has a broad range of Soul, Funk and Disco tracks. It contains the original versions of two tracks that Chris would go on to record as a member of the Players Association later the same year. The early cuts of "I Like It" and "Goin' To The Disco" have a more raw approach than the better known and more polished versions. The killer cut is the funk bomb "You Can Make The Change".This track was made popular by Keb Darge at his legendary deep funk nights. "It Takes A Little More" was co written with Danny Weiss with whom Chris would work with as The Players Association and then as the group Feel in the early 80's. This album is one of the rarest that we have released in our classic albums series. Original Vinyl copies sell for around £200.

The Fruit Band's fleeting existence was only recently revealed by the discovery of a few unsold copies of their sole 1978 single,Say It, which quickly became a cult showpiece for savvy DJs and collectors. Athens of the North has since reached out to Cypress Studios of Jacksonville, Florida and discovered a complete album of the group's stylish, dancefloor-smashing funk and deep disco on tape, unreleased for over 30 years. Vinyl is presented in a Handmade cardboard Tip-On Sleeve as would have been used at the time as only the best will do.

First release from a new Disco Edits imprint. The A-side, is a rework of the Disco Soul classic "I Believe in Miracles". The vocals and strings are from the 1973 Mark Capanni original and the beat is from the Jackson Sisters version.The B-side is a beefed up edit of the Disco Ladies Disco/Northern Soul classic "Its Better Than Walking Out"

Did somebody say AOTN 12". For our first large format singe we bring you the unreleased full length version of the original Symbol 8 classic "I thought you wanted to dance". The track was featured on American Band Stand in the late 70's but failed to make it for the usual reasons (luck, management and distribution) but that is no marker of quality, these tracks are disco and modern soul royalty . Charlie Adams versatile vocal flipping into falsetto with ease while the band holds the solid groove is a special thing. On the flip-side is later and very different version of "I thought you wanted to dance plus a personal favourite and long time spin of my own "call me". Essential as always.

Our second and final release from Billy Bruner T'Spoon out of his obscure Oil Capital Record Label. 'If You Dance Tonight' is almost unknown boogie spin your never gonna find, solid. On the flip 'Say Yea' is an 80s sweet soul ballad years ahead of the pack, I have a soft spot for this one, damn good end of nighter if it's been a good one. Strictly 500 no repress.
