Released in 1997, this Stunning EP from Kerri Chandler is considered by many to be the best of his Raw Grooves series and maybe even his best work of the late 1990's. Ladbroke Grove and What About Us are the classics here while Dub Music and Can't You See tread into darker minimal Chandler territory. Out of print since 2001, this is another slab of Large Music essential wax for every serious collector.

String 90's release by Dj Rasoul who released several great records on Leaf and Large. This is one of those that needed a re-issue. The main vocal on side A also became a venerable classic at the Shelter in NYC and was played consistently by Timmy Regisford throughout his tenure there. The darker, more disco filtered tones on the flip side were also highly praised and played at the time by French DJs such as Daft Punk, Phil Weeks, Cassius and many others. Nice to see some attention for Dj Rasoul!!

REPRESS The third instalment on Kutmah's experimental IZWID imprint, south London DJ and producer Al Dobson Jr. creates a 15 track deep, exploration of soulful, tribal drums and abstract musical curation. Otherworldly and nuanced beats re-imagine the score of the sampledelic funk tale. One that's non-geographical but rather lost in loops, journeying through the time and space that exists within your headphones. Alternating between cosmic vocal rips and a myriad of loose, soul-infused beat tape-style sketches with its digital flourishes, "Sounds from the Village Vol. 1" sees the sunrise and sunset over a bohemian musical vista.

Javi Frias is a DJ and producer from Madrid that has been playing soul, funk, disco, boogie & house since the mid nineties in clubs and festivals all over his country and Europe. Always looking for soulful records around the world to make people dance, his DJ sets are ever elegant, addictive and eclectic, full of energy and mostly on vinyl. In the last two years he has started to produce his own disco edits, respecting the sound of the original but adding some retouches to make them perfect for the dance floor.
