My interest grew slowly until it became a collection of records, CDs and taped VHS. This then evolved into experiments, sampling and chopping WAVs on free versions of WaveLab. In 2003 this became an MPC 2000XL. I was living in Los Angeles at the time so I had started going to shows and hanging out with people who shared similar interests. We all began to gather and learn together. Records became beats which became freestyle sessions, songs, laughter and much coughing. After several years I returned to Tokyo and it’s been 10 years since I have been back.I still make beats the same way. Going off of feeling I would get when I hear a record. The selection of sounds has changed slightly in accordance with my current environment. Still mostly sample-based but adding new and old tools have become part of my process. Just continuing to create music my body and spirit needs to feel good.”-BUDAMUNK

We have always loved Pure Essence so delighted to be able to revisit the LP track and 45 as a 7" with Third Rock (Less rare but imho better track) on the A side from a brand new master done by myself. Untouchable Disco Funk of the highest order, LTD to 500 as are all the Now-Again vault release, no repress.

You probably don't know this disco banger, I think there is about 4 or 5 known copies on 7", everyone who has a copy has been keeping it quiet. I first heard it from David Haffner about 4 years ago and had been after it since then. After a lot of research I came to the conclusion the everyone involved had passed away, but months after giving up after I spotted Benita's full name on another related LP credited as a backing singer. I was then able to track down Benita who was alive, well and surprised and very happy to hear from me. This one is a beast and will fly out (I find myself saying this far to often).

A rather fruity Brazilian, French spoken erotic version f Painel De Controle single we put out a couple of years ago that sits somewhere between euro disco and the original track. Always enjoyed playing this one out in the club as an answer record to the O.G so its good to have this one at 45rpm as well.
