With his smooth jazz samples he catches them all: his 46.000 (!) Soundcloud-Fans, the "Beatgeeks" from Berlin, the "Rapkids" from the Splash Festival and the Boiler Room in London. With "Cenário" FloFilz continues his musically city-trip, which started in Paris with "Metronom" in 2014. For his new album he travelled with the photographer Robert Winter to Lisbon. The impressions from the trip FloFilz put into 16 new tracks, on two of them he gets support by jazzsinger Olivia Wendlandt (Relaén). The "Cenário" LP comes in a perfect package with an effortful produced gatefoldcover including a 12 page photobooklet. The LP is limited to 2.000 copies.

Suff Daddy is back with his 3rd Album "BIRDSONGS" to be released this Summer accompanied by a Live-Tour in Autumn 2016.After a couple of years without a new solo release & makin moves with his Betty Ford Boys Brenk & Dexter, it was time for Suff Daddy to lay another egg in the form of a new album entitled "Birdsongs".Deeply rooted in the Suff Daddy signature sound, it is also proof of an evolutionary process. A little less sample chops, a little more synth, a little less straight hip hop, a little more melody. This doesn't mean that you won't be able to recognize the bird by its call anymore, it's just a slight change in tonality.After extending his stomping grounds to neighboring European countries by frequently playing international shows, including a London Boiler Room, he also opened for the mighty Anderson .Paak during his German shows in early 2016. Suff Daddy also remixed Lion Babe's "Wonder Woman" for Gilles Peterson Worldwide. He'll also be featured on the next "Spring in Jakarta" compilation.The album features some of the fellow birds Suff Daddy is known to fly with. Betty Ford Boy's Dexter adds drums and baselines, and Mayer Hawthorne delivers some vocals.Be on the lookout for Suff Daddy's upcoming tour which will feature a live band for the very first time. LIMITED EDITION RELEASE FOR RECORD STORE DAY 2015Sought after instrumentals for critically acclaimed album Sour Soul, by Toronto jazz/hip-hop band BADBADNOTGOOD and Staten Island rap champ Ghostface Killah. Inspired by 1960s and 70s music and taking inspiration from the recording techniques and production of that era , they embrace live instrumentation and zero sampling. BBNG with producer Frank Dukes created a dramatic, cinematic musical staging for Ghostface's vivid storytelling and this is the first and only time the instrumentals will be available as a standalone album.

Kindness For Weakness

Homeboy Sandman is set to release Kindness For Weakness, his third full-length album on Stones Throw Records. The album's title comes from Sandman's internal insight that "mistaking kindness for weakness is a weakness I need to have more kindness for". One of Sandman's most poignantly lyrical releases to date, the album centres on the MC's discomfort in his comfort zone, and addresses themes such as his personal insecurities, rapper stereotypes and morality. The prolific Queens MC has been prominently published in Gawker and the Huffington Post. In an extensive feature in The Guardian, he stated "I don't want to write something to be a conversation piece. It has to help change something".Since signing with Stones Throw Records in 2011, Homeboy Sandman has made himself at home with 3 full-lengths, a series of 5 short records and, most recently, a free EP with collaborator Aesop Rock (who has a guest feature on Kindness for Weakness) named Lice, which includes a remix by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park. With Kindness For Weakness, Sandman has once again established himself as one of the most productive and creative lyricists of this generation.

BBE presents the unreleased and never before heard album Resurgence from the Jigmastas.Following closely behind last year's expanded reissue of 2000's 'Grassroots', the New York duo of DJ Spinna & Kryminul present 'Resurgence', a long awaited album of previously unreleased material. Comprising tracks created between 2003 and the present day, 'Resurgence' represents the duo's musical growth during a period where most of us assumed the Jigmastas project was on hold. From start to finish, 'Resurgence' is brimming over with soul thanks to Spinna's distinctively languid boom-bap productions. Rapper Kryminul is on fine form with his clever and witty brand of storytelling, which still stays close to the streets whilst keeping the subject matter varied and eclectic. Storming guest appearances come from Shabaam Saadique and Old World Disorder (SKAM2, Shadowman Boogie), both familiar names to Jigmastas fans. J Dilla is widely regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time, having supplied timeless soundbeds for the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Slum Village, The Pharcyde, Busta Rhymes, Common, De La Soul, The Roots, D'Angelo, Erykah Babu, Madlib, and many more. In 2005, rumors began circulating about an album called "Jay Love Japan", a J Dilla solo project inspired by one of Jay Dee's favorite locations to visit on tour. After Dilla's untimely death in early 2006, the album became a lost classic shrouded in mystery, with only unofficial bootlegs and promo versions available. An official CD version was eventually released in 2008, but quickly went out of print.Now, the album is finally receiving the official release it always deserved. J Dilla's mother Ma Dukes and her label Vintage Vibez Music Group are proud to present official Vinyl and CD versions of "Jay Love Japan". With six soulful Dilla instrumentals and vocal appearances from Blu, Miguel, J*Davey, Ta'Raach, Exile, Baatin, and more, this 11-track collection is a perfect snapshot of late-period J Dilla brilliance.
