House of Disco return with a pair of funk fuelled cuts from Aroop Roy with Japan's Brisa contributing a deep and percussive remix. Based in London, Aroop Roy's take on electronic music involves blending elements of jazz, Afro, Latin and funk with disco and house. Roy's releases have landed on Freestyle, Gamm and Basic Fingers, and most recently on the hugely successful Kampana Classics EP.His multi-genre spanning influences can be attributed to his wealthy experience playing around the globe, including previous residencies in London, Geneva and Tokyo. Renowned taste makers Gilles Peterson, Francois K, Karizma and Rainer Trueby are only a few names from a swelling list of supporters and their seal of approval is a clear testament to his studio abilities.‘Talkin Bout Life' demonstrates Roy in fine form as it subtly builds into an essential party anthem. Jazzy keys, a soulful guitar lick and a dusty breakbeat are brought together by a warm and punchy low end to form an irresistible groove. This sets the scene for a breakdown of epic proportions, with raw vocals looping hypnotically to a huge climax.‘We Together' shows Roy's deeper side, pairing chunky, overdriven percussion with subterranean chords, whilst an infectious vocal operates on top. A warm analog synth ups the ante with an extra portion of funk.Hailing from Fukuoka, Brisa concludes the package by completely reimagining 'Talkin Bout Life'. Rumbling drums, twisted bass and otherworldly stabs together forge a jazzy remix with an abundance of character and originality.

Following on from releases by Urulu and Yaki Incipient, South Street return with their third release of sublime house cuts by Flabaire.As part of the highly respected D.KO Records crew and an integral part of Paris' house scene, Flabaire's reputation has been steadily growing in the past few years.With a string of releases on Popcorn Records, Organic-Music, his own D.KO Records and now South Street, the Frenchman is definitely one to watch!

Ghetto Disco Records is a small, Edinburgh based, Disco Rework label, formed as the brainchild of Natasha and Dennis Probert (Daughter & Father Duo!)The popular radio show, hosted by the duo, 'Ghetto Disco' has acted a catalyst for this venture. After gaining increased popularity across the globe, Natasha & Dennis felt it was only natural to take their passion for music and vinyl that step further. Flumo's first vinyl offering for 2017 sees Chocky returning with three original signature tracks along with a remix from true craftsman Orlando Voorn.Higher Synth, the first cut on the record rolls out the instantly recognizable Chocky sound to full effect. Looped chords set the rhythm in motion & the vocal sample provides just enough variety within the track to mix things up and keep you moving.Orlando Voorn's take on Higher Synth enhances the weight and heaviness of the original, the wooden bass kick and crisp synth layers provide a refreshing satisfying take on things.The flip side contains two tracks, first of which is Seek Deep, a track that similarly maintains Chocky's signature vibe whilst also paying homage to deeper, classic house tracks with a spoken Word vocal.. This track was first made available on Flumo's Unreleased Highlights Volume 4 compilation, and it now sees an anticipated vinyl release.Closing off the package is Chocky's Brush Away, a track delving into the hypnotic sphere, where field-recorded vocals and trumpet lines create a late night groove aimed straight at the dancefloor. Chocky returns to the label and he delivers.
