Strictly Rhythm is back on track after a summer hiatus with a double header from one of the most exciting producers in house music right now: the UK's Josh Butler. What is Real? and Innocence showcase Butler's talent at blending his love of classic house with fresh flavours cut for today's dancefloors.With over a dozen record releases to his name in a short career, Josh Butler is on the up. He's notched up notable partnerships with the likes of MTA, Noir, Cajual and MadTech, turned the heads of house music heavyweights Kerri Chandler, Marshall Jefferson and Pete Tong and made himself an essential fixture on the international DJ circuit.Butler broke through in 2013 with Got A Feeling on Chase & Status' MTA label, for which he picked up a beatport award, and followed it up with the No Frills EP on Kerri Chandler's MadTech imprint, The Situation and Portable EPs on Cajmere's Cajual, Feelings on Noir and a remix of Fatboy Slim feat Macy Grey's Love Life. He was awarded the prestigious Best Breakthrough Producer by DJ Mag for 2104.The DJ diary isn't too shabby either, with a posting supporting the legendary Chic on tour and two full summers in Ibiza at Sankeys under his belt, plus a US tour and clutch of festival appearances at the likes of SW4, Parklife and Secret Garden Party.

Alma Negra is a Swizz collective that consists of four musically driven friends, the Figuiera Brothers Dersu & Diego who's roots are established firmly in their Cape Verdian heritage, Dario with his half and half Portuguese/Italian mix and finally Mario with Spanish roots.They are all passionate diggers who love playing music from all over the world, something that's evident in their productions as well. Encompassing jazz, african and latin sounds to soul, funk, disco, house and even techno.As far as inspiration goes they mention Donald Byrd ,Fela Kuti and Theo Parrish. Their creative output has let them to release on such fine labels as Sofrito, Highlife and most recently Basic Fingers.Fans of Alma Negra include Gilles Peterson, Ben UFO, Axel Boman, Detroit Swindle, Africaine 808 and Tim Sweeney. Digger's Workout Part 2 continues where Part 1 left us, proving once again Alma Negra are on a roll.Included is a killer remix from Osunlade and his Yoruba Soul Mix of Safari is deepness on a new level.

Straight from the northwest 1980, Freeway was the band you could catch any weekend playing gigs in Portland and Seattle.. Their coveted AOR boogie debut 7" on Nebula Circle "Get The Feelin" is what originally started this project with PPU records, Mark J (keyboardist/songwriter/vocalist) had some original copies in the safe deposit box.. Nebula Circle was a local Oregon label that released Shock and Nu Shooz's first recordings! Freeway had another vinyl LP debut in the 80s, but it only made limited local waves, impossible to find today, so Mark J went back in the studio and pulled all these recordings from the archives, and luckily found other solo projects featured on this LP. Limited to 500 copies.
