Originally released back in 2006 Destination Boogie has been one of ZR's most popular and respected compilations. In fact we recently reissued it on vinyl for the first time.There's a lot of crappy edits out there, we believe these Dr Packer reworks are very worthwhile, well constructed new versions that make the tracks more playable for today's dancefloors whilst retaining their boogie tastic musicality.Since the album was released the whole edit culture has exploded so we thought it would be a nice idea to get one of the best, Dr Packer, to rework four of the most danceable cuts from the album.

A two track edit 12, done by Lotus Land's Tom Noble. We dont know what the originals are, but they clearly will do some serious damagge when these are played out! Heavy heavy, Tip! Tom Noble is a well respected, and even more well travelled, scholar of boogie, disco, funk, and points in-between. He is also co-owner of the oft celebrated Lotus Land record shop and label, and brother to Andy Noble, of the much-hyped Kings Go Forth, a 12-piece modern soul band who releases records on the Mr. C record label.

Wow! A repress from this sublime boogie cut from 1983 that even made it to the top of the Rhythm & Blues charts at the time. A solid cut with a chunky electronic bassline, catchy horn riff and vocals (from Robbie M). On the flip T. Noble provided an instrumental also. Well recommended!The Midnight Express Show Band was the band from Robbie M, a Rock Island native from the Midwest area called the quad Cities, and has performed with performers like Roger Troutman and Zapp, The Temptations, War, The Dazz Band, The Chi-lites and more.
