This year, Theo Parrish seems to be doing his best to breathe new life into the careers of broken beat-era producers and musicians. Having previously released an excellent EP from Dego and Kaidi Tatham on Sound Signature, his latest missive comes from one-time conscious hip-hop producer Ge ology and one-time go-to jazz keys-man Mark De Clive-Lowe. The latter's brilliant synthesizer and piano work is arguably the highlight of both tracks here. On the spacey, P-funk influenced space-house swing of "Moon Circuitry" he does his best impression of Herbie Hancock, while "Escape On The Lodge Freeway" boasts intricate jazz solos atop a slightly tougher, chunkier deep house groove. Both tracks are, of course, impeccable.

Jimi Bazzouka is back!!!! We all know Jimi's love for all sorts of music and especially African and traditional music. For this 3rd episode of outstanding edits, Jimi goes Industrial + Synth Pop + Techno + African music. Don't sleep if this ones sells out as fast as the 2 previous volumes.

Over the past years the Leipzig native made a name for himself with releases on his lovely own Rose Records imprint and esteemed labels like Tsuba and FOTO. If you're partial to carefully arranged, classy piano-led deep house business, his new 'Part of Me EP' should tickle your pickle.Lead track 'In My Arms' is a bottom-heavy mid-tempo burner with a driving piano melody and yearning vocals that slowly works towards a breakdown of monumental proportions.'Balance on a Beam' on the flip is a slightly beefier affair, blending tight tambourine-like snares, sultry male vocals and chunky hiphop-ish sampling style with Luvless' moody synth lines and crisp drums. Closing track 'A Precious Kind of Love' offers more trademark Luvless deepness, nicely rounding off the package with its spaced out beats, glittery percussion and more cut-up samples.As always, this is a limited, vinyl only release. In terms of making an impressive head turning debut, few can top Dan Shake. With his bow on Mahogani, the London-based producer becomes the first artist to release on Kenny Dixon Jnr's iconic label with no prior affiliation to Detroit. The story goes that whilst in attendance at last year's Dimensions festival, Shake handed KDJ a CDr filled with his productions and soon after found himself signed up for release on the man's label! As you'd expect Dan Shake fits right in on the label with this pair of simmering motor city heaters with the lead track "3 AM Jazz Club" coming across like a sharper Dani Plessow production.
