Dance Till U Can't

auteur:

photo:
a propos:
This is a big one, the first official new music from LOGG since their monster classic album release in 1981. Marc Mac on remix duties bringing back some of that super Disco-Boogie flavour on the main mix, and a nu school boogie flex on the flip. Also included is the fantastic original version by Leroy Burgess and LOGG. All previously unreleased tracks.Only 500 limited edition vinyl copies available.

Love Explosion

auteur:

photo:
a propos:
O.k Straight up disco banger that is way beyond most paycheques on 45. As featured on the Numero Group compilation Ultra-High Frequency's. Numero actually just beat me to a punch doing a deal on this. I has spoken to Donnell loads, he always seemed to be in a restaurant car park when I called, he was always happy to sing down the phone and talk about his recordings but we never got round to signing a deal. Anyway back to the record, if you don't know this buy it and if you do you already got it in your bag. Disco / Modern royalty

Electric Murder

auteur:

photo:
a propos:
First ever official reissue of this mythical Nigerian-American Afro boogie album !It’s grail time. Kalita are honoured to officially release for the first time since 1983 Marcy Luarks & Classic Touch's mythical American-Nigerian Afro boogie masterpiece 'Electric Murder', accompanied by extensive liner notes based on interviews with Marcy's family and producer Daniel Irabor. The product of the then husband and wife team of Marcy and Dan, 'Electric Murder' brought together both the former's American and the latter's Nigerian roots; recorded in London with UK-based session musicians, this mix of heritage and styles resulted in an Afro disco album unlike any other. With original copies turning up for sale roughly once every few years, and with an eye-watering four-figure price tag to match, Kalita for this year's Record Store Day saves you the never-ending search for this true holy grail.Released on black vinyl, with printed insert detailing Marcy's life and musical career.

Bad Guy Good Guy (Pacific Dream)

auteur:

photo:
a propos:
Another rare gem from Record Shack gets its first officially licensed 12” release – the absolutely killer early ‘80s jazz funk tinged, boogie bomb from The Oceans – ‘Bad Guy, Good Guy’, fully remastered for maximum audio pleasure. With the release only ever being a whitelabel there was much confusion over the correct titling due to the stamp simply stating ‘Pacific Dream’, however the actual track titles are those housed on this release - ‘Bad Guy, Good Guy’ and the instrumental ‘Synth Good Guy’. Those original whitelabels command prices of up to £120 and it’s no surprise when you hear those infectious guitar riffs blended with buoyant synth flurries and sensuous vocal harmonies. For those that would rather leave the vocals at bay, the B side houses the instrumental mix in all its glory.A radiant release that still sparkles as bright as it did back in 1980 – an essential buy!

Come Back To Me

auteur:

photo:
a propos:
Having been fans of Italian powerhouse Pino Presti’s music for a long time, it’s a special moment for the Spaziale team to now be releasing the master’s music. SPZ006 sees Stefano Ritteri offer up a club leaning version of a Presti classic, 'Come Back To Me', and new takes on two tracks uncovered from the Pino Presti vaults that have never before been released.Having reached out to Pino, who withdrew from the spotlight a number of years ago, the Spaziale team discovered he was sitting on some unheard, unreleased material. Spaziale’s Stefano Ritteri jumped at the opportunity to work with these recordings, resulting in Ritteri versions of both a Presti classic, ‘Come Back To Me’ spaced out into the galaxies, and two of these never-before-heard tracks recorded back in 1985. Using the original master tapes Ritteri weaves in subtle synth lines, added drum machine hits and tape echo delays to the arrangements providing punchy Balearic takes on these hidden treasures.
